Hello! My name is Jamie, and I'm a Game Developer, Programmer, and avid Gamer! I love role playing games, but I will play any game that catches my interest. When i'm not working on my next project you can find me playing a new RPG, trying out a new recipe, listening to a new album, or dancing the night away...
My favorite game of all time, and a huge influence on me as a developer. The world feels alive in a way that so many other games attempt to capture yet fail to deliver on. A snapshot of a moment in time that will (hopefully) never exist, with well designed systems that interact with each other in interesting and unique ways.
Some of the best writing and cutscene direction I have ever seen in a video game. There were moments where I was quite literally on the edge of my seat from the sheer suspense of certain scenes. One of the few games that directly interrogates the nature of the protagonist in a first person shooter, and the only game I can think of that communicates the sheer depth to which white supremacy is ingrained in every aspect of American life.
Self-reflection comes from a lot of places, but I never expected an RPG about a cop who experiences ego death thru binge drinking to induce such an intense period of self-reflection.
This game ignited my passion for video games as a medium and kickstarted my obsession with pokemon in the 5th grade. If it was not for this game in particular I would have never asked more questions about how or why games and technology work the way that they do.
I am in awe of how the AI directors in this game work. Moody, atmospheric, and an incredible soundtrack. Some of the best feeling action gameplay ever. Playing this game feels like I'm constantly trying to catch a train I'll always be just a bit too late for.
